Featured Show - "Professor Remy Presas" June 21, 2001
My conversations with Professor Presas and Roland Dantes were recorded back to back in the same day, Both were in Professor's room at the care facility in Victoria, Canada during each interview. The two were interviewed separately with R oland going first. Many of Professor's responses were to be edited together with Roland Dantes prior interview for a complete and final recorded version for the "On The Edge" radio show, authorized by both men. For historical documentation, each interview is presented in its entirety and unedited. Although the recording of Professor Presas seems to be incomplete or unanswered in a few areas, when listening to both recordings of Roland Dantes and Remy A. Presas back to back the listener will see that all answers were completed just not edited together. Also worth mentioning is the fact that Professor Presas was responding well in the interview after initially being a little nervous and shaky in his voice. The interview was interrupted by a telephone call. After the call it was evident Professor had become upset and distracted by the conversation with a senior practitioner who had been creating undo public controversy about Professor's health and business decisions via Internet comments.
Additionally, there is another interview with Professor Presas from a live "On The Edge" show while he was still very healthy and feeling well from 9-25-1999. (For audio, scroll down this page.) In this interview, several questions were asked that are similar to the June 2001 recording at the care facility. For the most part, Professor's personal comments were similar and coherent, further clarifying his mental stability just one month prior to his passing in August of 2001.

Roland Dantes was in the United States through Professor Presas' request to spend time with Datu Kelly S. Worden. Professor was still living and Roland had just come from Victoria Canada afte r an extended stay with Professor in July 2001.
The actual interview was to cover information and history relevant to the development of Modern Arnis as well as historical facts about Arnis in the Philippines. This impromptu segment was recorded in a vehicle traveling to and from a training session held at Ft. Lewis Washington where Roland Dantes assisted Datu Kelly S. Worden for several weeks of Tactical training with the U.S. Army 1st. Special Forces Group.

"On The Edge" Radio host Kelly Worden talks with Ed Hart. Ed started training at the Seattle Judo Club in 1957. He talks about his experience with Jesse Glover and Bruce Lee. Ed Hart was Jesse Glover's friend for over 40 years and they did Judo together before they met Bruce Lee. Ed was Bruce's second student in America and he was a hard-core martial artist, the Seattle Judo Dojo. Ed was a good friend to Bruce, and he had a large influence on Bruce's life.
